2018-2019 Year Round Cheer
Thank you for your interest in the 2018-2019 Jersey Valley Cheer Year Round Rec Cheer program. We will be offering four divisions for Year Round Rec Cheer for children ages 7 to 16. *Note* Teams are determined by the number of participants, and are on a first-come first-serve basis. Your cheerleader will be placed on the appropriate level squad based on these factors, as well as the team they cheered on for the 2018 traditional Pop Warner season.
All Jersey Valley Cheer coaches are safety certified through the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. program and the YCADA certification program as well as complete an annual background check.
The Year Round Rec Cheer season will begin the week of December 15th and end with our final competition March 17th.
Cheer practices in December - March will be 5 hours per week consisting of 2 days to be determined based on team. One practice day will be a week day and the other will be a Saturday or Sunday. In the event that practice is cancelled due to weather, a make up practice will be held during that week.
We will participate in multiple competitions – all yet to be finalized. We are looking at participating in CAAI’s competition in Long Branch, Gotta Cheer’s competition in Elizabeth and The Finale at the Kalahari Resort at Pocono Mountains Pa. Our final competition schedule will come out in the January time frame based on competition dates and locations but the competitions will be the weekend of March 2nd or 3rd, March 9th or 10th and we will be in Kalahari the weekend of March 16th and 17th.
A non-refundable Registration Fee to secure your spot on one of the 4 teams is due by December 15th. There is limited space of 36 cheerleaders per team so get your registration information in to secure your spot.
Year Round Cheer Package consists of the following:
Practice Space at the Home of the Flemington Falcons ~ The Edge Sports Center
Our 2nd Junior team (6-8th graders) will practice at Hillsborough Middle School
*Uniform is to be returned to Jersey Valley Cheer at the end of the season.
**Insurance will be purchased through AAU at $16 per athlete and paid directly to AAU when you register your cheerleader.
***Any clinics/tumbling classes, etc. will be at an additional cost to the participant.
****Any overnight stays (ie: Kalahari) will be at an additional cost to the participant.
Registration and payment will be done similar to registration for the traditional season on the Falcons website at www.flemingtonfalcons.org.
Although we are cheering as Jersey Valley Cheer, the Flemington Falcons have paid for the practice space and will pay for competition fees, uniforms, music and all other expenses associated with the Year Round Rec season.
New This Season: Parent Volunteer Hours – Mandatory 2 Hours of Volunteer Time is required for the Year Round Cheer Season. This includes mat maintenance, maintenance of the Edge, help with picking up t-shirts, distribution of items, collection of forms, etc.
The Falcons will refund registration fees less the $50 registration fee for requests prior to the 1st day of Year Round Cheer practice. After December 15th there will be no refunds.

New Cost and Payment Schedule:
The Cost to participate in the Year Round Season of Jersey Valley Cheer is $600 plus $16 to join AAU. The $16 is paid directly to AAU
Non-Refundable Registration of $200 is due December 15th.
1st Payment of $200 is due January 15th
2nd Payment of $200 is due February 15th

All forms filled out from the Pop Warner traditional season from Flemington, Bridgewater, Hillsborough and Montgomery will be in effect for the Jersey Valley Year Round Rec Cheer season.
The "2018 Pop Warner Participant Contract and Parental Consent Form".
Falcon Time & Commitment Letter signed by both participant and parent/guardian.
The "2018 Pop Warner Physical Fitness and Medical History Form" - page 1 completed by parent/guardian, page 2 completed by a physician. Physicals must be attained during the calendar year of 2018 and be dated, signed and stamped by the physician.
Notarized birth certificate.
