2010 Falcon Accomplishments
Often we hear about being the “best of the best” or “being at the top of the heap” well for two Flemington Falcon Football players that saying has come true. Just look at the competition.
On a national level within Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. there were approximately 410,000 participants during the 2010-2011 season. Pop Warner has established a minimum grade point average (2.0/70%) for all participants to maintain in order to play football or cheer. In order to be recognized as a scholar athlete you must achieve a minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 96%.
Only the top 2% of all Pop Warner participants (8,200) were able to qualify this year. That alone is a tremendous accomplishment but not good enough to earn All-American First Team honors. When all the data is submitted (grades, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, etc…) only the top 35 football players and top 25 cheerleaders in each grade from 5th to 8th qualify for the honor of being 1st Team National Scholars. That means that only the “best of the best” qualifiers earn the top honor.
The Second Team All-American’s come from the next 65% of the qualifiers. Everyone who meets the criteria for All- American consideration is rewarded for his/her academic success and they receive Honorable Mention.
For 2010-2011 the Flemington Falcons are proud to recognize two All-American First Team Scholars: Thomas Foreman and Walter Wynkoop IV.

In addition, the Falcons can also boast of eleven (11) 2nd Team All- American Scholars. They are Bryan Carmon, Michael Connelly, Hannah Davis, Amanda Krantz, Brian Meilinger, Mackinnon Poulson, Daniel Robinson, Torianne Rozansky, Julia Sorg, Christopher Testa, and Tyler Urban.
These are the student/athletes that received Honorable Mention as Scholars – Kelsey Bornstein-Murphy, Leah Creter, Jordan Dowling, Kyle Kuhl, Robert Lanzilotta, and Timothy Piazza.
In all the Flemington Falcons are extremely proud to have had 19 student/athletes receive National recognition for their accomplishments in the classroom.
