Falcons Cheer is Back!

Falcons Extended Cheer had an incredible winter season after being off the mats for over a year because of the pandemic! Cheerleaders competed in two live competitions hosted by Spirit Brands at the Wildwood Convention Center on Sunday, March 21, 2021 and Sunday, March 28, 2021.

The Mini White team led by Head Coach Michelle Blane, was one of the youngest teams to perform at both competitions. “These 5, 6, and 7 year olds cheered their little hearts out! They learned so many new skills throughout the season and our coaches and student coaches could not be prouder of them!” Assisting Michelle this season are Breanne Crow and Kristen Ferraez.

The Junior Black team placed first in both Wildwood competitions. The team was led by Head Coach Lauren Giordano and consisted of girls in grades 3-5. “We had been practicing for months hoping we would get to do a live event… there is such a different level of excitement going in front of a live panel of judges and an audience. We were thrilled to be able to give the girls this experience!”  Coach Lauren is assisted by Coaches Chelsea Young, Sara Call and Jennifer Sherlock.

The Senior Gold team led by Renee Brandt gave two outstanding performances and earned first place awards at both events. “We were hit with so many injuries this season, but the coaches and I knew we had to do whatever it takes to give these girls, especially the 8th graders, an awesome season. They exceeded our expectations and are truly a testament of our Falcons motto of Don’t Stop Believing!!”  Assisting Brandt are Coaches Gretchen Stetson, Jill Pesarchick, Amy Sova, Debbie Lavish, and Kristen Hutchins.

Registration is currently open for the Falcons Cheer traditional season which begins on Monday, August 2, 2021.
